The perfect road bike for those seeking comfort, stability and versatility

The Trek Domane AL 2 Gen 4 is the ideal bike for people who want to enjoy a road experience to the fullest, even if they are novices or not regular cyclists. It is designed to offer a smooth, stable and comfortable ride, perfect for exploring the terrain without stress.

This road bike is built with a lightweight but strong aluminum frame, capable of providing a safe and pleasant ride even over medium to long distances. The front carbon fork absorbs much of the asphalt vibrations and makes the ride smoother even on slightly bumpy stretches of road or on gravel.

  • 32 mm tires, wider than average for greater stability, comfort and control even on uneven surfaces.
  • Attachments for roof racks, fenders and bags, great for bicycle touring or multi-day trips.

Recommended itineraries for road biking in Salento

Salento is an ideal destination to experience on a road bike, thanks to the richness and variety of its landscapes. You can pedal along dirt paths that wind through centuries-old olive groves and dry stone walls, cross quiet country roads that join ancient villages, and push on to the coast, where the Adriatic and Ionian seas meet.

We know the area inside out and are ready to advise you on tailor-made routes designed for every level of preparation: from beginners to those seeking more technical challenges. All routes have been tested by us and chosen to offer you the best of Salento, including nature, history and breathtaking views.

▶ Otranto – Porto Badisco – Santa Cesarea Terme – Castro – Maritime

Start in Otranto, one of Salento’s most fascinating cities, overlooking the Adriatic Sea. After a brief visit to the historic center and the cathedral with its famous mosaic floor, pedal south along the coast, following back roads that offer spectacular views of the sea.

The first stop is Porto Badisco, a small bay set among the rocks, where, according to legend, Aeneas landed. Here you can take a rejuvenating break, perhaps with a dip or a coffee at the seaside kiosk.

Continuing on, you reach Santa Cesarea Terme, famous for its Moorish-style villas and hot springs. The road leading here offers breathtaking views of one of the wildest stretches of coastline in Salento.

From here you pedal to Castro, a village perched on a promontory with a well-kept historic center and a marina perfect for a sea-view snack. If you have time, it’s worth going down to Grotta Zinzulusa, one of the most beautiful in southern Italy.

Finally, we arrive at Marittima, a small town surrounded by nature, ideal for a quieter stop before returning to Otranto.
